As of December 31, 2007, its marketing network consisted of approximately 802 regional wholesale distribution outlets, 17,070 owned and operated service stations, and 1,296 franchise service stations owned and operated by third parties.
The company's Chemicals and Marketing segment produces and markets basic petrochemicals, derivative petrochemical products, and other chemical products.
Its basic petrochemical products include propylene, ethylene, and benzene; and derivative petrochemicals include polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS, and other synthetic resin products; polyacrylic, terylene, and other synthetic fiber products; styrene butadiene rubber and other synthetic rubber products; and intermediates, such as alkylbenzee, as well as other chemicals, including urea.
Its Natural Gas and Pipeline segment transmits and stores crude oil, refined products, and natural gas, as well as sells natural gas.
As of December 31, 2007, the company had estimated proved reserves of approximately 11,705.6 million barrels of crude oil and approximately 57,110.6 billion cubic feet of natural gas; and owned and operated 22,043 kilometers of natural gas pipelines, 10,559 kilometers of crude oil pipelines, and 2,669 kilometers of refined product pipelines.
