Starr Spencer has been a reporter with Platts since 1997, covering mostly upstream and most recently biofuels and in prior to that extensively covered LNG.
Prior to joining Platts she worked for newspapers in Chicago and Los Angeles. She has also worked for a newspaper in Mexico City, covering that nation's president and politics.
She wrote for the Los Angeles Daily News and the Pioneer Press newspaper chain in the Chicago area.
In Mexico, she wrote for the English-language daily Mexico City News, which was published by Spanish-language daily Novedades, and also for Mexico Insight, a weekly English-language newsmagazine published by the veteran Mexican daily newspaper Excelsior.
